Domestic Elder Abuse Program
Lt. Mark Wynn will be speaking on Wednesday, June 13 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center, 7 Town Square Way in Lima.
Lt. Mark Wynn, Retired Lieutenant to the Domestic Violence Division, member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team in Nashville, provides training services to police executives, patrol officers, social service providers, healthcare professionals and victim advocates.
The focus of this instruction is to discuss the investigative techniques of identifying domestic elder abuse and introduce the student to model communities and their response to domestic violence and the roll of the law enforcement as a leader. Examples of obstacles, resources and benefits to the government-community partnerships will be explored. Instruction on how to identify the abuser, victim assistance for the elderly, interview techniques, and the law enforcement-elder abuse advocate partnership will be covered.
All attendees can park in the Parking Garage located on Market Street. At check in please make sure to mark that you need a parking voucher. Those will be passed out at the end of the event.
Doors open at 8:30 AM for registration.
